About
Hi. My name is Demian Farnworth.
And this is my blog.
My purpose behind this blog is simple…
To give you the tips and tools you need to live a vivid, meaningful life…
Instead of an otherwise lonely, sad, short, brutal, meaningless one.
The Most Important Thing You Should Know About Me
I am a Christian. That’s my worldview. You may not like that. You may think less of me. Fine. But let me say this: Christianity solves more problems than agnosticism or atheism can.
I aim to show you how. That’s the whole point behind Fallen and Flawed. And trust me when I say this is not some esoteric debate. Your life depends on it.
Don’t Waste Your Life
Thomas Hobbes argued in The Leviathan that without law, man lives in anarchy. And if he lives in anarchy, “the life of man, solitary, poor, nasty, short, brutish.”
Hobbes said this about government. But the human life is the same. Without meaning in our life we have anarchy. And if we have anarchy we live a solitary, poor, nasty, short, brutish life.
Is that the way you want to live? If you’re answer is no, read on. I’ll teach you how not to waste your life.
Why Should You Listen to Me?
Let’s settle this right now. I’m not a trained theologian. I don’t have a doctorate in theology. Or even a Masters in divinity.
What I do have is a BA in Literature. A history of small victories in creative writing. And a formidable drive to know my God.
Shortly after I became a Christian, I looked into graduate school to see what it would take to teach at the collegiate level. The size of the tuition shocked me and so I decided I could achieve my desire to teach theology without going into debt.
From there I lifted the curriculum for a Masters in divinity from Regent University and started reading all of the required books.

The Leviathan by Hobbes
I then started writing about what I learned.
I don’t know as much about theology as the giants of theology who dwarf me in education, brains and experience. But I know enough to understand the essence of Christianity. And I study enough that one day I might become a giant.
Until then, I’ve got this blog.
Why I’m Doing This
Three reasons. I’m a writer. I’m a social media pundit. And I’m a student of Jesus Christ. The essential ingredients to make a successful Christian blogger.
One last thing: I love you. Not in the Episcopalian way. Nor in the Diane Ackerman way. But in the Christian way.
I love you because I believe that every soul living out from under the care of Jesus Christ is under judgment. And that judgment terminates in something unimaginably wicked–hell.
That’s why I’d rather warn you about it. And teach you how to live a long, meaningful Christian life.
So, are you the least bit interested? Or maybe you’re viciously appalled and wish to tear me apart. Either way, get updates to Fallen and Flawed. Or follow me on Twitter. You never know. We might become friends.
